1. Shelly Paulocik at Woodwinds Nursery, RR #1, Bluevale, Ontario, N0G-1G0, 519-335-3749, is a very helpful, knowledgeable resource to people in Eastern Canada. Her catalogue, though small is full of information and she has apple varieties organized into groups, Old Fashion, Disease Resistance, Connoisseur, Modern and Hardy. Of all the trees I have bought over the years, her’s grew the best.
  2. Ravenscar Farm, Susan Rexansoff and Peter Lironi, General Delivery, Lasqueti Island, BC, V0R-2J0. 250-333-8768. Rather than have the customer go to them, since Lasqueti doesn’t have a car ferry, this incredible couple, brought their very healthy trees to Salt Spring Island in March 1996, on their boats. They also bought 3000 gallons of fresh water with them, knowing that it is sometimes hard to get such quantities of water on the Gulf Islands. A good selection of very healthy trees at great prices.
  3. Weldon Bay Nursery, Milan and Sandy Cejka, Lasqueti Island, BC, V0R-2J0. 250-333-8862. A very good selection with good prices.
